FAQ
Answers about the report, verification, and eligibility.
Who are we?
REALdegrees was co-founded by Dr. Matthew Di Giuseppe with a group of university professors and administrators with expertise across STEM, the humanities, and the social sciences. We're independent of universities and employers.
Is this a cheating detector?
No. REALdegrees never evaluates whether any individual student cheated. It measures how the classes you took were assessed: proctored exams, labs, and supervised work versus take-home assignments. It's about the courses you chose, not your behavior.
What is the AI Resilience Score?
The AI Resilience Score measures how much of a student's GPA was earned through assessment formats where AI tools could not help (proctored exams, lab work, live presentations, and supervised evaluations). A score of 80 means 80% of the grade-weighted academic performance behind that GPA came from those formats. The Transcript GPA tells you how well the student performed; the AI Resilience Score tells you how much of that performance was protected from AI assistance.
How is a REALdegrees Report different from my college transcript?
Your college transcript shows grades but not how those grades were earned. REALdegrees analyzes the assessment methods behind each course (proctored exams, labs, essays, group projects) and combines that with your actual grades to produce an AI Resilience Score. That tells employers how much of your GPA was earned through assessments that AI couldn't help with.
Where can I use my report?
Anywhere your credentials are being evaluated. Add the verification code and report link to your LinkedIn profile, attach the PDF to job and internship applications alongside your resume, or include it with graduate school, scholarship, and licensing applications.
What if my college transcript scores badly?
You control the report. It's generated for you and only shared if you choose to share it. If the score doesn't help your case, you don't have to use it. No one will know you requested a report.
Will employers actually look at this?
REALdegrees is new, and we won't pretend recruiters already know us. What we can promise: the report is one page with a plain-English bottom line, and the verification code or QR takes any employer to a check page in seconds. As Texas pilot partners come on board, we'll name them here.
How do employers verify it?
They enter your verification code at realdegrees.ai/verify to confirm the report is authentic.
What do I receive?
A PDF report plus a verification code and an employer check link you can share with applications.
How fast is delivery?
Reports are delivered within 48 hours.
Who is eligible?
Graduating students and recent alumni of 19 Texas public universities: Angelo State, Lamar, Prairie View A&M, Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin, Tarleton State, Texas A&M - College Station, Texas Woman's, University of Houston, UH-Downtown, University of North Texas, UT Arlington, UT Austin, UT Dallas, UT El Paso, UT San Antonio, UT Tyler, UT Permian Basin, and UT Rio Grande Valley. We currently only analyze bachelor's degree transcripts. Don't see your school? Email admin@realdegrees.ai and we'll let you know when we add it.
Do you handle graduate transcripts?
Not at this time. REALdegrees currently analyzes bachelor's degree transcripts only.
Why only Texas public universities?
Texas public universities make the syllabi for their courses public. That means we can assess the types of assignments and exams you were graded on. We're starting here and expanding.
What if I haven't graduated yet?
You can still get a report based on the courses completed so far. Once your college transcript finalizes after graduation, we'll update your report at no additional cost to reflect your full degree.
Are you affiliated with my university?
No. We're an independent faculty-led team, not part of a university or employer.
Do employers see my college transcript?
No. Your college transcript is used to build your report; employers only see what you choose to share.
